Problem

This week we’ll focus on the main problem in the story. What is the main problem in the story? How is

the main character trying to solve the problem? What do you predict the solution will be? If you were the

main character, how would you solve the problem? What would you say? What would you do? What

plan would you devise?

  1. The problem in this story is that some guy stole Jerry’s puppy. I am not sure how the main character is going to solve the problem. I would call the police if I were in the main characters position. I predict that the man character will try to steal his dog back.

  3. The main problem is that Jerry's dog, Ginger Pye has been stolen. I don't know how Jerry will solve this but I would be pretty scared if I found out my dog was missing. I think that Jerry might try going after the thief himself but that is not what I would do. I would tell my parents that Ginger Pye has gone missing and ask them to help. I would look for Ginger Pye every moment I could and not stop until I found him.

  4. As you read on I encourage you to look for smaller events (problems) that keep the story moving. Good work.

  5. The main problem is about how Ginger Pye has been stolen once Jerry has finally saved enough money to buy him. Ginger Pye was stolen by some unknown person who also wants Ginger and just happens to be wearing a bright yellow hat.

  6. the main problem is that ginger pye was stolen by a man in a yellow hat. Jerry and Rachael go to look for ginger. if i were Rachael, I would probably be very sad. i would accuse the man of dognapping after i found him. and then i would get ginger back! rachael and jerry meet strange people, but they will keep going until they find ginger!
