This week we’ll focus on the main problem in the story. What is the main problem in the story? How is
the main character trying to solve the problem? What do you predict the solution will be? If you were the
main character, how would you solve the problem? What would you say? What would you do? What
plan would you devise?
The main problem in the story is there is no rhyme or reason so Milo, Tock, and the Humbug are going to the castle in the air to save Rhyme and Reason. I think Milo will bring Rhyme and Reason back to Dictionopolis. If I were Milo, I would do what he is doing. by bringing Rhyme and Reason back to Dictionopolis there won't be nonsense any more.
ReplyDeleteI invite you to look at some of the smaller problems that the characters are facing on their great adventure. What are the events that are moving the story along? Do you agree with how they are being dealt with or would you think, feel or do things differently?
ReplyDeleteThe smaller problem in the story is that Milo, Tock, and the Humbug got to the island of conclusions so they need to swim back to mainland. They were stuck there because they had no conclusions of where they were going. I would have made a raft and paddled back.
ReplyDeleteI think there are a lot of small problems. One of the teeny ones is at the beginning when Milo gets stuck in the word market although it is the smallest problem in the story.
ReplyDeleteI think the problem in the story is Milo can’t find his way to the castle in the sky.
ReplyDeleteHe is trying to find his way there by exploring.
I would ask for directions.
