This week we’ll focus on the main problem in the story. What is the main problem in the story? How is
the main character trying to solve the problem? What do you predict the solution will be? If you were the
main character, how would you solve the problem? What would you say? What would you do? What
plan would you devise?
In the tale of Despereaux there are many problems for many characters. The problem that Despereaux's family is having is that he is not acting like a mouse should. Insted of that he does not use any of his mouse instincts that he has.He chooses to act like a human and broke many sacred rules of mice.Chiaroscuros problem is that he does not belong in the light or darkness.Despereauxs problem is that he is to be sent to the dungeon but he needs to rescue the princess pea.I think the main problem is Despereauxs.
ReplyDeleteI think the main problem in the tale of Despereaux is that Despereaux doesn't act like a mouse and that makes other problems occur for Despereaux. How I would solve the problem is I would run away from my family because I would never want to be with someone who didn't like me being me and I would hide in a mouse hole. Its not his problem though,its the groups problem,and they think their solving the problem by putting him in the dungeon with the rats. Despereaux is solving the problem by not acting like a mouse because being a mouse is hard for him.
ReplyDeleteI agree but what about the other small problems that keep the story going? There are many other problems that you can mention for example: Despereaux's family is having is that he does not act like a mouse should.Also he broke many of the sacred rules of mice. The thing I like about this story is that it is based off many problems that keep it going. Lucia there is a main problem but don't forget the little ones. They hold the story together.Cheers!
